Our client, a thriving and well-known avocado distributor company, is looking for a Quality assurance Supervisor - Food Safety in Swedesboro, NJ to join their talented team. The person will provide leadership and assist the Quality Assurance team in the direction that will maintain the Quality Assurance systems in place and make suggestions for continuous improvement to all facility processes.

Your Day:

  • Assist with implementation, verification, and validation of Primus GFS program
  • Assist in the implementation of HACCP Program and update risk analysis as processes change
  • Oversee Environmental Sampling Program including collection of swabs, review of results, corrective actions and trends
  • Assist Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining Department metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Organize and participate in GMP Inspections and monthly Internal Facility Audits.
  • Overseeing the sanitation process
  • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
  • Monitor the Sanitation processes and adjust schedules as needed.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Food Technology or related field is preferred
  • 2-3 years of Quality Assurance experience within a food environment
  • HACCP and PCQI certifications are preferred
  • outstanding knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

Pay Rate & Shift:

  • Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
  • $65.000/year.
