Buyer / Manufacturing

Our client, a world leader in AC and DC coupled vibration sensors and accelerometers in Chatsworth, CA is looking for a Buyer / Manufacturing to join their skilled team. This candidate maintains purchase orders, manages supplier activity and assists with Engineering Change Requests. This job is Monday- Friday and pays 21.00 to 24.00/hour

Your Day:

·      Identifies and qualifies new low-cost suppliers for quality raw materials.

·      Maintains purchase orders and other required documents to ensure compliance.

·      Manages supplier activity to ensure the timely release of purchase orders and timely arrival of materials in the plant.

·      Analyzes and adjusts as necessary purchasing activities that are affected by changes in raw material and equipment.

·      Manages supplier relationships and performance to ensure performance targets are achieved.

·      Assists with Engineering Change Requests which apply to assigned commodities.

About You:

·      Associate’s degree and 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience

·      Computer knowledge of Microsoft Applications

·      Knowledge of MPS/MRP scheduling systems

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay Rate and Shift

·      Monday- Friday

·      7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 P.M.

·      21.00 to 24.00/hour
