Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Our clients, that specializes in critical parts cleaning and bake goods are looking for a Shipping Clerks in the East Bay Area. In this role you will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing orders and preparing items for shipment.
Your Day:
- Physically compare information and counts of items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
- Prepare shipping documents and schedule freight pick-ups as required
- Maintains inventory of shipping material and supplies
- May operate forklift, electric pallet jack, or handtruck to convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving area to storage canopy
- Maintains security of historical records by filing accordingly
About You:
- Computer experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Shipping Clerks have direct customer interaction and must therefore present themselves in a professional manner, as well as communicate concerns or issues verbally and in writing with customer service and or scheduling department.
- At least 1 year of recent experience with sit-down and stand-up forklift
- COVID Vaccine Required by Client
- Role may change or evolve with business needs and company growth. Your immediate Supervisor or Manager will cover change in responsibilities during one on one or review time
- Must be able to lift 25-40 lbs.
Pay Rate & Shift:
- $19.00 to $20.50
- Monday - Friday (with possible weekends)
- AM & PM Shifts Available
