Gate Operator

Our client, a global logistics service is looking to hire a Gate Operator for their location in Sumner, WA. In this role, you would be responsible for determining the purpose of the visit and directing visitors to the appropriate area of the yard or building. Registers the visitor by entering appropriate data into the handheld devices of the YMS system.

Compensation & Work Schedule: $19.50 /hr, Sunday to Saturday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

The Day-to-Day:

• Applies YMS transponders to containers/trailers that will remain in storage
• Plan, Prioritize activities
• Determine gate operator obtains details of the unit being picked up and will direct carriers to where the unit is parked.
• In the event of a live load pick up and/or delivery, obtain for security purposes the license plate and driver identification, and enter into the YMS system.
• Upon the departure of carriers, inspects the unit to determine if it is full or empty. For empty units departing, determines validity in YMS. For loaded units, obtain the driver's signature as required. Maintains documents and registers in the YMS system

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Must have an up-to-date Driver's License
• Attention to detail
