Warehouse Associate

Do you have experience working in the Warehouse industry, live in Austin, TX, and looking to work for a great and innovative company? If so, apply now for this opportunity as a Warehouse Associate for our client, one of the largest providers of in-home residential delivery. You would be responsible for assisting with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders to sales associates for processing.

Compensation & Work Schedule: $17.00 /hr, Tuesday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM

The Day-to-Day:

• Read customer orders, works orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.
• Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for employees and customer traffic
• Complete your work in a safe manner; adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed.-take check calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will be delivered on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes

Qualifications:

• Basic written, and verbal communication with computer skills
• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportations industry (loading, unloading trailers, using handheld scanners)
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, due to varying freight volumes
• Able to lift up 40 lbs without assistance. (Anything more than that will be team lift)
• The ability to apply critical thinking to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
